Veterinary Assistant at Compassion Vet Hospital

Compassion Veterinary Hospital in Bradford, NH is looking for a full-time veterinary technician or assistant to join our team. We are located at 2604 State Route 103. Our ideal candidate is a reliable, motivated, flexible, and trustworthy team player with a positive attitude. We are a 2-doctor, small animal practice with a family-like atmosphere for our staff as well as our clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms for appointments, collect patient history
• Collect and process laboratory samples
• Fill prescriptions
• Assist in restraining patients
• Nail trims, blood draws, administer vaccinations & medications
• Assist Senior Vet Tech with prepping & monitoring surgical procedures
• Receptionist duties including answering phones, scheduling, client communication

Qualifications

• Experience working as a veterinary technician or assistant preferred but willing to train
• Previous animal experience necessary
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• Must be dependable and committed

4 1/2-day work week, no nights or weekends

Hourly wage to be based on experience and training

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $17.00 - $19.00/hour.
