  • We have an opening for an ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF DINING SERVICES position.
  • Location: Texas Women's University - 420 Administration Drive. Denton, TX 76204. Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Details of Operation: The ADDS will oversee a new 600 seat Residence Dining Hall that will open in the August 2019. The candidate for this position will manage about 30 full-time hourly associates and 20-25 part-time student associates. The operation is open 7 days a week, Monday-Thursday 7:30am-9pm, Friday 7:30am-8pm and Saturday & Sunday 10:30am-8pm. The campus has about 2100 students on a meal plan.
  • Schedule: Must be able to work a flexible schedule as hours of operation are: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-9pm, Friday 7:30am-8pm and Saturday & Sunday 10:30am-8pm.
  • Requirement: Must have food service supervisory / management experience. Must have 3 years of food service supervisory/management experience. Food service in a college/university is a plus!

Job Summary

Summary: As an Assistant Director of Dining Services I, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day food service operations of a medium to large volume location. You will manage and lead a team of associates, and will be responsible for talent development, managing client relationships, profitability, and supporting financial goals in an assigned area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Chef and management team in creating nutritious and top quality food.
  • Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams.
  • Maintains excellent relationships with the client.
  • Manages, trains, and develops associates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of food service management experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Financial experience and business acumen skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
