Job Description

We are currently searching for a Manufacturing Assembler to join our team in the Providence, RI area. You will perform assembly line tasks. If you have a passion for excellence and would like to help improve lives around the world, please apply today.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with and assemble very small parts
  • Use small hand tools, measuring tools, variable gauges, microscope, tweezers, mag light & microscope
  • Clearly, read and follow work instructions, assembly prints and other manufacturing documentation
  • Primary duties include electro-mechanical assembly
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures
  • Coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, output and on-time delivery targets
  • Identify material/capacity constraints and resolve issues
  • Ensure that safe work practices are in use at all times
  • Achieve cycle count accuracy goals
  • Ensure production activities are completed in accordance with design and process documentation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields
  • Strong manual hand/finger dexterity
  • Good dexterity and vision
  • Must have exceptional close vision and color vision
  • Good hand eye coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret documentation
  • Ability to assemble using appropriate tooling, fixtures, and equipment

Helpful

  • Knowledge of lean practices and continuous improvement tools
  • Technical or vocational certifications
  • Experience in manufacturing small parts, electronic components, devices, sockets, circuits, PC boards, etc.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals as well as compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in both an individual and team environment
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead by example and to provide guidance and mentoring to peers and to promote teamwork
