Job Description

OVERVIEW

The purpose of this position is to screen/assist uninsured hospital patients to determine if they are eligible for various programs that may cover their medical expenses, and if so assist with the application process.

Work as a liaison between the hospital, uninsured patient, government agencies and main office.

Work in hospital setting located in Dallas Texas

QUALIFICATIONS

Bilingual / Spanish

High School Diploma or equivalent

Some college preferred

Three (3) years experience in the healthcare and or government sector.

Proficient in Microsoft office (Various hospital computer systems) a plus.

Effectively communicate in a professional manner with patients/hospital internal staff

General understanding of hospitals and the healthcare industry


Knowledge of County and State programs (Medicaid)

Ability to work independently and have excellent time management skills

Interview patients for Third Party linkages

Secure Third Party applications for all potential linked patients

Responsible for managing a portfolio for Third Party eligibility/recovery
