Pharmacy Technician Support Specialist

Our local long-term care pharmacy is looking to add only exceptional people to our team. 

What will an EHR Specialist do everyday? 

  • Listen and communicate with others in a professional and caring manner including sensitivity with individuals from diverse cultures and lifestyles
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external clients through inbound and outbound communication  

  • Support and maintenance of help desk functions to the electronic health record systems, troubleshoot MAR related issue 

  • Provide support to EHR training team, including preparing materials, setting up and providing technology support 

  • Train to be an expert in pharmacy processes and various electronic health record systems, as well as other technology programs 

  • Help problem solve to answer internal and external clients questions and build the relationship with each one.  

  • Act as a liaison between the facility and pharmacy, and problem solve to ensure and maintain efficient processes. 

Required Qualifications:  

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification required

  • One year of experience working in health care environment working with electronic medical records and/or health care software required 

  • Pharmacy Technician License in Nebraska and Iowa required 

  • Cubex or Pyxis experience preferred 

  • Basic Pharmacy Order Entry experience preferred 

  • Excellent communication skills - oral, written, and technical

  • Strong attention to detail & organization

  • Long Term Care experience a plus 

  • Independent worker with great time management skills

  • Professional customer service/relations skills 

  • Must be able to actively contribute to a positive team environment

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks, remain focused, and work independently

  • Position hours: Full-time Monday thru Friday 8:30 - 5pm and 9 - 5:30pm. Occasional on call during weekends and after hours. Flexibility is a must.  

    You must be reliable and have a solid work history to be seriously considered for the position. A completed pre-employment drug screen and background check will be conducted.
