The Director of MedSurg Services provides overall management and strategic leadership of the MedSurg Nursing Services and affiliated service lines. Representing MedSurg Services, the Director is responsible for patient safety, compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards associated with MedSurg Nursing Services, budgetary duties and fiscal performance of the nursing unit(s), leadership of medsurg team members, resource development and implementation of process changes and establishment, measurement, reporting and audit of the MedSurg unit Performance Metrics. Graduate of a nursing program.
Graduate of a nursing program. Bachelor's Degree in nursing or healthcare administration is preferred. Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience is strongly preferred. Progressive unit management experience is preferred. Management development and CQI skills training is preferred. Current Mississippi RN licensure is required. BLS certification is required. ACLS and PALS or ENPC certification are required (or within 30 days of hire into the position).
