Job Description
The Community Health Accreditation Partner, Inc. (CHAP) is an independent, non-profit accrediting body established in 1965. CHAP standards assess the quality of healthcare in home and community-settings nationwide including home health agencies, hospices, private duty home care, home medical equipment suppliers, pharmacies, and providers of palliative care.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a nurse educator with an exceptionally strong background in home health and hospice compliance. Must love educating and have experience in survey preparedness. This position directs the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programs. The Compliance Nurse Educator supports CHAP’s mission, vision, and goals to ensure CHAP is the preferred accreditor, certifier, educational provider, and thought leader in home and community-based care. This position may be based out of the home office or full-time remote.

Primary responsibilities include the planning and implementation of training and resources that promote the understanding of the CHAP Standards of Excellence, readiness preparation, CMS Conditions of Participation, and the accreditation process for provider agencies and other stakeholders. Provide instructive learning on compliance and regulatory requirements for home health and hospice operators. Staying up to date with changes and trends in community-based healthcare. Facilitating workshops, webinars, training, and teleconferences with current and potential CHAP partners and customers. Other program oversight and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in nursing (or RN with other related bachelor's degree) (Relevant master’s degree preferred).
  • Expert level knowledge of CMS home health and hospice conditions of participation.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years administrative, education, and/or training and development experience (in accreditation or home and community-based health care services delivery/management).
  • Expertise in home health and hospice is required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and ability to project positive energy.
  • Demonstrated success in assessing, developing, and delivering effective educational initiatives to diverse groups, using various adult learning techniques.
  • Advanced level of experience with current technology associated with education, training, and consulting.
