Financial Business Administrator

The Community Foodbank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) seeks a Financial Business Administrator to perform a variety of detailed financial grant administration duties including account analysis, expense review and approval, month- and year-end closings and quarterly grant reporting related to the organization’s role as a lead partner to the New Jersey Department of Agriculture (NJDA) in the USDA’s Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement (LFPA).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assist Food Sourcing management with the general financial administrative functions of the grant-funded purchase program, which includes various financial and budgeting reports, state grant reporting and special projects as needed.
Manage Month-end closings, Approve and process expense invoices and reimbursements for the grant funded food purchase program and personnel., Analyze general ledger accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Review grant accounts payable backup to ensure compliance with organizational procedures and grant requirements.
Reconcile grant payroll and review payroll journal entries.
Work with LFPA collaborators, including external sub-contractors and consultants, to ensure that deliverables meet the stipulated requirements and coordinate their payment for the service rendered.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for submission to the NJDA.
Additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Highly organized and detail oriented; can work both collaboratively and autonomously as appropriate; and is skilled in tracking and managing required budget projections, expenses, and documentation.
Have at least five (5) years of nonprofit accounting experience with grant management experience.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business Administration required; CPA License preferred.
Experience with SharePoint, Outlook 365, MS Office Applications including Excel.
Self-directed and demonstrate the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines with exceptional analytical, problem solving, written and organizational skills.
