Position Summary

The Marketing Campaign Specialist supports the effective execution of marketing campaigns, with a special emphasis on email marketing. Think compelling subject lines and punchy conversational copy that generates conversions.

Position Competencies

  1. Writes compelling and concise email content to support marketing campaigns. Demonstrates ability to write conversational copy with a touch of wit and humor.
  2. Optimizes subject lines and calls to action to drive engagement. Reviews email metrics and makes continuous improvements.
  3. Supports ad-hoc email marketing requests including event invitations, market-specific outreach, and special short-term offers.
  4. Partners with creative team and agency to develop compelling email designs that are equal parts attractive and effective.
  5. Partners with member experience team to review click through destinations and ensure landing pages support the call to action.
  6. Collaborate with Marketing Manager and Senior Campaign Specialist to develop campaign briefs, copy samples and creative recommendations on assigned campaigns.
  7. Build campaign task boards in Monday.com, working with leadership to plan appropriate timelines and resources.
  8. Procures target lists through our MCIF or submit data requests to our system owners and data analysts. Sets up emails, audiences and schedules within system.
  9. Coordinates partner and CUSO marketing campaigns. Adapting partner content to fit the Community Choice brand and working with partners and SMEs to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  10. Contributes to the execution of departmental business plan and all-team objectives.
  11. Lends copy writing skills to other creative projects.
  12. Opportunity to participate in organizational project teams to provide marketing services and capture requirements for marketing team.
  13. Willing to flex into other skillsets as needed. Variety is the spice of marketing.

Education

High School Diploma - Required

Associate's Degree - Preferred

Experience

Two or more years of similar or related experience

Skills & Abilities
  • Strong technical aptitudes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with marketing project management software (Monday.com, Basecamp, etc)
  • Experience using an MCIF or CRM
  • Demonstrated ability to write compelling and concise email content
  • Understanding of or interest in financial products and services


Mental Demands

The team member must be able to read and interpret documents or instruments, understand and/or follow complex written and oral instructions, make decisions, recall multiple policies or procedures, resolve problems or unique circumstances in a timely and efficient manner, be able to express oneself clearly and/or concisely, perform mathematical functions, and handle multiple, concurrent tasks. Must be able to remain calm and professional at all times, understanding that members may express emotional frustration when the credit union cannot meet their specific requests.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
