PrimeCare Medical Center offers primary care physicians and specialized diagnosis and treatment in urgent care, weight management, and internal medicine. PrimeCare also offers cardiovascular studies, heart monitoring, and X-ray services in-office by trained specialists.Position Summary

Medical Records Coordinator will manage and maintain patient’s health record, ensuring that the information is up to date, and accurate Medical Records Coordinator will provide administrative support of securing health insurance authorizations, eligibility checks and coordination, tracking and documentation of efforts.

Essential Functions

  • Collecting and interpreting patient data
  • Generate reports, analyze reports, data gathering, data entry, documentation and reporting
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Follow and document processes
  • Work closely with the Insurance Companies to secure authorizations
  • Communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
  • Manage different roles and tasks, with attention to details and deadlines
  • Multitask and demonstrate flexibility as necessary
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, and ability to work well with managers, peers, and internal and external partners
  • Strong computer skills utilizing Excel for data gathering, data entry, documentation and reporting
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work closely with the Insurance Companies to secure authorizations from third party insurance companies and or agencies
  • Ability to take initiative, plan and work independently
  • Ability to prioritize and manage different roles and tasks, with attention to details and deadlines
Working Conditions
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Physical demands include requirement to regularly sit; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
