Minimum Pay Rate:

 OneGroupRisk Management and Insurance seeks a Senior Employee Benefits Consultant.

JOBSUMMARY:

Workwith clients and colleagues to lead strategic initiatives relating to employeebenefits.  Provide guidance and direction to clients with complex needs(generally medium to large sized clients).  Actively conduct detailedanalyses, lead client meetings and presentations, and oversee clients’ needs. Maintain necessary level of knowledge to lead team projects as well asparticipate as part of team in projects.  Participate in salesinitiatives.  Represent OneGroup as a leader in our market.

 

ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

-Workwith new prospects and existing clients to develop understanding of their needsand assist with solutions and program recommendations. 

-Overseethe completion of any required account set up, including all required contractsand agreements, depending on client engagement type. 

-Createand deliver client presentations, work with Boards or Leadership teams.

-Adviseteam on various related projects and participate as contributing member of teamfor client initiatives.

-Providecustomer service with problem solving and troubleshooting for clients andemployees as requested.  Ensure that programs perform as expected.

-Assistinternal consultants with existing client servicing and new business leads toprovide direction and coaching.

-Identifyopportunities for new sales or cross selling potential.

-Participatein finalist meetings, as needed.

-Conductresearch and provide best practice information to clients.

-Leadprojects with minimal oversight.

-Effectivelyunderstand the scope of each project to be able to generate a proposal.

-Conductand lead Assessments for clients and provide best practice and benchmarkinginsights.

-Reviewand make recommendations to Executive-level management for improvements toemployee benefit programs.

-Effectivelynegotiate and process timely and accurate renewals.  Gather the necessaryinformation for renewals as well as identify new business opportunities. Obtain quotes and provide alternative options as needed.

-Developcomplete understanding of all benefit programs offered and underwritingguidelines of the various employee benefit carriers.  Maintain awarenessof new products developed, program changes or laws and regulations that affectbenefit programs and communicate their impact with clients.

-Understandcomplex funding arrangements and use this knowledge to proactively manageclient accounts.

-Handlehigh level client needs independently.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education:

-FourYear College degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or similar

 

ProfessionalCertifications/Licenses:

-Lifeand Health license

-PHRor SPHR, preferred (or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)

 

Experience/Skills:

-Minimumof ten years of progressive Benefits experience

-Thoroughknowledge of Benefits practices, Federal/State laws and regulations

-Abilityto read, analyze and interpret complex documents and situations

-Anorientation toward helping clients identify and solve problems

-Confidencein skills and approach to deliver difficult concepts and solutions

-Creativity,analytical skills and results-oriented nature

-Strongoral and written communication skills as well as organizational skills

-Exceptionalcomputer skills

TRAVEL:

-Mayrequire overnight travel for client meetings and will require travel locally toclient locations.
