Hours/Week: 40 hours Location: Rutland

Minimum Pay Rate: $13.00

Summary:
A Floating Teller will provide coverage to several different branches in a defined geographical area. Duties for this position include receiving, paying, keeping accurate records of all monies involved in these transactions and actively listening for customer needs and referring customers to appropriate products. This position will work under general supervision while performing a variety of duties as a member of a team to provide quality customer service.

A candidate with prior cash handling or customer service is preferred but not required.

Education and Training:
High School Diploma or GED

Skills:

• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Basic math skills
• Computer skills

Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance to customers using quality service standards
• Accept deposits, verify cash and endorsements
• Cash checks within limits assigned referring exceptions to supervisor
• Accept savings deposits and withdrawals
• Prepare individual daily settlements of teller cash and proof operations
• Look and listen for potential sales opportunities while conducting daily customer transactions, promoting specific Bank products as applicable
• Observe and act on opportunities to create appointments for Sales Representatives, Financial Service Representatives and Lenders
• Research customer accounts, send out prospecting letters and follow up with customers by telephone
• Make customer service related telephone calls
• Accept loan, utility and other payments
• Issue money orders, cashier's and travelers checks, correspondent bank drafts, etc.
• May open Christmas Clubs
• Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed

Other Information:
As an integral member of the Banking Department, this position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Branch and the Bank in achieving their annual goals.
