Job Summary: Under the direction of the Energy Program Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring the accurate costing and tracking of costs for projects by utilizing the costing system, entering, tracking and preparing purchase orders for all inventory, preparing reports that track costs of projects, and assisting in analysis of department budget.

Duties and Responsibilities (Not all inclusive):
  • Complete the job costing of weatherization units to arrive at final labor and material amounts.
  • Responsible for data entry and maintaining several inventory and job costing computer software modules ( i.e. eHeat, NEAT, etc.) to ensure job numbers, job costs and client history are accurate and complete. Provides monthly production reports of completed work and closed client files.
  • Responsible to enter notes and statuses for mechanical, crew and appliance invoices into NEAT.
  • Processes purchase orders into database to ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Under the direction of the Program Director, assigns job costs to appropriate funding sources.
  • Provides input in identifying and resolving systematic problems and assists in planning for the improvement of processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Serves as backup in maintaining and updating National Energy Audit Tool (NEAT) libraries on computer network to ensure accurate and consistent job costing information.
  • Tracks client files to ensure all jobs in process are accurately costed and accounted for. Reconciles Access Customer database and Laserfiche against several databases (i.e. RAPCIS, NEAT, etc.) and the physical files.
  • Responsible for inventory transfers from warehouse to crews and Energy Conservation Specialists.
  • Assist with accurate physical inventory and responsible for data entry of inventory.
  • Participates in monitoring expenditures to ensure program is within guidelines to meet contract unit requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience: Associate's degree in an accounting or finance or business administration related field with 2 years of experience in job costing and accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Non-profit accounting experience preferred.

Abilities and Skills: In order to be successful in this position, the person will at minimum need to possess the following abilities and skills: Must have strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Access. Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills; must be self - motivated; must be able to relate to and communicate effectively with varied socio economic and multi ethnic groups and/or individuals.

Physical Requirements: Normal office physical exertion required.

Mental Requirements: This position requires an awareness of deadlines, the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, and the ability to function independently. Good analytical and math skills.

Environmental Requirements: Normal office and warehouse environment.

Benefits

Salary: $19.71/hr, $20.19/hr bilingual

Schedule: M- F, 40 Hours/Week, Full Year
