This may require researching, learning and introducing new music to our congregation beyond the Worship Directors personal cultural background and/or church traditions.

  • Schedule, recruit and manage band members and multiple band teams for a monthly rotation of worship leading, bringing in guest musicians when needed to fill in gaps.

  • Manage Planning Center Online for team scheduling and uploading song lyrics/chords.

Leading does not necessarily mean that Worship Director has to do all the talking, selecting songs, or leading out on individual songs; but that they are the point person to organize/facilitate band and can collaborate and support volunteers to lead in various capacities.

  • Work with band members and musicians to write and produce original music that reflect our theology and vision as a church.

  • Hold quarterly gatherings and jam sessions with worship band to continue to build team chemistry and develop musicianship.
