### Summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of
anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through

### Responsibilities

- You will serve as a member of the entry control/vehicle
inspection team which conducts private and commercial vehicle
inspections.
- You will provide technical direction to the entry
control/vehicle inspection team, which usually consist of 1 or 2
contractor vehicle inspectors.
- You will retain persons found to be unauthorized to enter the
installation; immediately contact the Security Forces to turn
over persons suspected of issues that would be an incriminating
circumstance(s) and detain for questioning.
- You will appear (as necessary) as a competent witness in a court
of law; may be required to testify on the results of
investigation and violations observed.
- You will have the ability to direct vehicles and pedestrian
traffic during emergencies and normal rush hour traffic to
ensure that the entry control process is run in accordance of
established procedures and naval regulations.

### Conditions of Employment

- You will be required to meet any applicable credentialing or
privileging requirements prior to appointment.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of
retired military members within 180 days immediately following
retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the

United States driver?s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment
physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or
final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to
obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result
in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor
Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg
Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760,
Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including
marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be
rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or
pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Call back and emergency overtime may be requirements of this
position.
- Work may include assignment to train second, third, or rotating
shifts or weekends and holidays.
- Required to pass Physical Agility Test (PAT) prior to entrance
on duty, and subsequent annual Physical Agility Testing. Failure
to pass the PAT may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or
removal.
- Required to wear a uniform and comply with grooming standards.
- This work requires, on a regular and recurring basis, long
periods of standing, walking, driving, bending, stooping,
reaching and similar activities.
- Work is performed for the most part is outdoors in the heat,
cold, rain, and wind during the hours of daylight and darkness;
with work in or under extremely dangerous conditions.
- The work environment regularly involves high risked with
exposure to potentially dangerous situations or unusual
environment stress which requires a range of safety and other
precautions.
- Required to qualify with initial and sustainment firearms
qualifications.

### Qualifications

GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized
experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in
the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or
public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the
following: 1) Screening and/or inspecting personal and commercial
vehicles requesting installation access; 2) Controlling personnel
access by verifying identification/credentials; 3) Patrolling
buildings or perimeters for suspicious activity; and 4) Maintaining
desk logs, desk journals, and pass-down logbooks to document
security events. NOTE: This information must be supported in your
