### Summary

You will serve as a AIRFIELD DISPATCHER in the AIRFIELD OPERATIONS
of NAS OCEANA.

### Responsibilities

- You will receive incoming radio, telephone or alarm systems
calls, evaluate and assess the emergency in order to send the
proper personnel and equipment to address the emergency.
- You will activate airfield lighting controls when instructed.
- You will monitor all vehicles entering and leaving the airfield.
- You will be responsible for maintain various logbooks to
document fuel useage, traffic, etc.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of
retired military members within 180 days immediately following
retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the
provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- You will be required to maintain a current valid United States
driver?s license.
- This is a bargaining unit position.

### Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of
specialized experience equivalent to the (GS-03) or equivalent pay
band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private
or public sector performing the following tasks: 1) Operating radio
communication equipment; 2) Receiving incoming telephone or alarm
systems calls; and 3) Maintaining logbooks/records.

Successfully completed two years of education above the high school
level. This education must have been obtained in an accredited
business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college
or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30
semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or
university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week
for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical
school.
