Job Description

ComResource is looking for a Revenue Metering Systems Analyst.


The Systems Analyst will be responsible for providing administration, implementation and support for reporting and revenue metering systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary point of contact for vendor support of the revenue meter reading system and web facing application to staff, members, and partners
  • Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support for the revenue meter reading system and metering device configurations and other business systems, including web facing application to staff, members, and partners that provide business and reporting data
  • Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support for the Member Facing portals and data presentation dashboards
  • Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support for configuring and troubleshooting meter issues
  • Manage, monitor, and incorporate meters into network monitoring and information security systems
  • Collaborate with the network/client/server teams and consultants as needed to resolve problems, and take appropriate corrective action(s) to ensure systems are operating correctly and within established operational and functional SLA’s
  • Assist with planning and upgrades related to Line of Business and Plant applications
  • Identifies process improvements and develops business cases for new investments
  • Participate in assigned projects according to the IT project management methodology, procedures, and processes
  • Weekend and off-peak hours implementations are part of the work duties, as well as being part of a rotating 24x7 on-call support team
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor


Essentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other information technology equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience in supporting revenue-metering systems like PrimeRead or MV-90
  • PI knowledge a plus
  • Experience in windows server and network troubleshooting a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL desirable
  • Experience in manually loading data through tools such as Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to focus and attention to detail
  • Ability to program\configure electric meters and related communications devices
  • Management, and maintenance of servers in multiple platforms (Linux, VMware, Windows)
  • Database backup and recovery (Microsoft SQL)
  • Understanding of client/server processes and virtualization (VMWare, other)
  • Fiber Optic, RJ-45 ethernet and serial cabling technologies and converters
  • LAN/WAN physical and logical support
  • Wireshark, putty, telnet, ping, and other IT troubleshooting tools
  • Network monitoring or other “like” tools
  • Knowledge of basic disaster recovery best practices, documentation management, and periodic testing
  • Excellent demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities and meet deadlines
  • Must be a detail and process oriented, innovative, self-starting, hands-on technology professional that is able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and periodically work under high stress conditions
  • Use various network/client/server monitoring tools for systems control and problem resolution
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced operations center environment
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal skills
