Whether you are planning to apply with us at Columbine or work in another setting, the Geriatric Education Centre will provide you with a great foundation to start you on the right path.
Students will gain an understanding of the responsibilities involved in working with residents/patients of all ages in both wellness and illness. Issues of mental health, resident/patient rights, and resident/patient and family interactions are also covered. Class instruction includes the following:
Basic nursing assistant procedures and skills
General household activities
Safety and emergency care
You will receive 92 hours of training through classroom and clinical settings. We offer classes that will work with your schedule! We have Full time classes that you can complete in just 2 and 1/2 weeks! Part time, evening and weekend classes are also available. If you choose to work with the Columbine family, we do reimburse you the class fee (1/2 at 3 months and the other 1/2 at 6 months)!

We have 5 beautiful Skilled Nursing Facilities located in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Windsor.
CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant compensation:
- Evening, Overnight & Weekend Shift Differential Pay

CNA opportunities for those who apply with Columbine!
- Full Time, Part Time or PRN
- Days - 6 am to 2:30 pm
- Evenings - 2 pm to 10:30 pm
- Overnights - 10 pm to 6:30 am
- 12 hr. shifts in some facilities
- Weekdays, Every Other Weekend and some Holidays
