Position Summary: This position is for addiction counselors at an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) in Greeley, CO or our Pueblo, CO locations. Counselor will be an integral part of our treatment team, which includes medical staff, to provide medication-assisted treatment services. Counselor will be responsible for providing direct counseling services, assessments/intakes, and group facilitation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Provide individual counseling to assigned clients; facilitate groups; substance abuse assessment of new patients; appropriate documentation and record-keeping in compliance with state and federal regulations; case management and referral to external agencies; participation in weekly treatment team meetings; knowledge and use of ASAM and DSM-5; non-judgmental attitude and compassion for population; cultural competence; confidentiality and HIPPA compliance; act as a community liaison to advocate for client population; and provide psychoeducational services to client and their family.
Job Standards/Minimum Qualifications: Four-year degree in counseling or related field, (behavioral health, sociology, psychology, or experience in another field of similar experience). Must be certified as a CACII, CACIII, LAC, or MAC, or a masters-level clinician (registered with the state) in the process of obtaining certification/licensure. Must have a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID and must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
