Kids Ministry Weekend Assistant II

The Kids Ministry Weekend Assistant is a part of the Kids Ministry Department within the Family Life Zone. This position provides hands-on weekend support, volunteer mobilization, problem-solving and anticipatory thinking for the Kids Ministry Department during weekend services. This position is a part-time (8 hours/every other weekend) support level position without benefits and reports to the Pastor of Kids Ministry.
Position Responsibilities:
- Weekend Assistance
- General set up and tear down of Kids Ministry classrooms.
- Oversee Teacher check-in and coordinate substitute needs.
- Oversee Front Desk volunteers and Kid Check-in process.
- Perform various administrative tasks (copies, supplies, attendance, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned by the Pastor of Kids Ministry as time and schedule permit.
- Additional Items:
- Schedule: Every other weekend- Saturday 3:30p-6:30p and Sundays 8:00a-1:00p with occasional special events as available.
Qualifications:
- Competency:
- Solid people skills and effectively communicates with and relates to people of all ages.
- High organizational skills and forward-thinking in terms of planning and scheduling.
- Able to take direction from leadership.
- Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel and Google Suite/Drive. Ability to learn new software (church database/check-in)
- Able to effectively multitask projects and tasks.
- Willingness to work within a flexible schedule.
- Comfortable in interdenominational settings.
- Character:
- A Christ-honoring life marked by personal holiness, prayer, bible study, spiritual and emotional maturity, and increasing dependence on the Holy Spirit (Titus 1:6-9, 1 Timothy 3:1-7). In other words, sold out to the Lord Jesus Christ!
- Unquestionable integrity, specifically in areas of handling finances, relationships, and time management.
- Flexible, teachable, and has a sense of humor!
