Position Summary: Performs all aspects of diagnostic Cardiac imaging procedures (Stress and Pharmacologic preparation, monitoring and imaging of patients). Prepares and administers radioactive chemical compounds known as radiopharmaceuticals. Knowledgeable in IV placement to avoid extravasations of radiopharmaceuticals. Performs computer processing and image enhancement. Provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation. Provides excellent patient care. Demonstrates excellent customer service. Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program required.
Experience: At least 1 (one) year of experience is preferred but not required.
Licensure/Certifications:
Must be CNMT or ARRT(N) Certified. SCRQSA Certified.
Special Skills:
Knowledge of Stress and Pharmacological test monitoring.
Knowledge of Anatomy and Nuclear Medicine scanning techniques.
Knowledge of Normal and Abnormal Anatomy, Physics, Computer Skills and Medical Terminology.
Knowledge of Radioactive chemical compounds, known as Radiopharmaceuticals.
Other:
American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. BLS Recertification is required every two years.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; frequently to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 15 to 20 pounds of force occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time), and/or 5 to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 5 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
