Description:
  • This role is essential to the success of the MS business conference execution. The role will work closely with the Sponsorships Team to submit approvals through the submission process, as well as the Compliance, Medical and Legal review process. The position will work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders to successfully lead marketing initiatives.
  • Lead MS strategic congress presence and shape key strategic marketing choices for the MS brands (ACTRIMS, AAN, CSMC, FALL AAN and potentially others)
  • Develop and execute against all brand strategies targeting US-based Neurologists, MS-treating HCPs and other stakeholders involved with the treatment of MS
  • Develop and implement all booth, exhibit and sponsorship assets including personal and non-personal promotional tactics
  • Overall US MS congress Lead for US MS Marketing and cross functional lead within the organization; provide regular congress updates to Sr. Leadership
  • Collaborate with Corporate Meeting & Congress planners to evaluate congress vendors, ensure effective use of resources and provide direction on the overall execution of conference plans
  • Ensure all booth, sponsorship, and marketing activities are following regulatory and legal requirements
  • Identify and optimize on MS Portfolio presence and strategize for new areas of opportunity to reach targeted HCPs
  • Develop, maintain and distribute congress dashboard (which summarizes cross-functional and logistical components of each congress/meeting)
  • Key member and contributor to the global congress strategy team
  • Lead ICP efforts for congresses and Key Customer Engagement initiatives including HCP focused sponsorships
  • Field lead for sponsorship roll-out – align with brand leads to create assets for local and regional sponsorships
Meetings Program Management:
  • Maintain annual view and deadline across national, regional and local scope which identifies key meeting details
  • Ongoing management of meetings, sponsorships and associated budget. Including management of timelines
  • Identify promotional opportunities at each meeting that align to Brand Strategy
  • Complete Meeting Request Forms for National conferences
  • Triage meetings to the correct point person on the MS team with provider recommendation; field, Key Account Management, professional education and media
Portfolio Customer Initiatives
  • Lead major customer facing initiatives across the MS Portfolio including HCP Speaker Training, and Patient Ambassador Conference
  • Develop the strategy alongside the brand leads and drive engagement and experience at these initiatives
  • Develop and maintain the project plan, pre and post communication plan, and lead the overall initiatives and cross functional working team
  • Maintain MS portfolio advisory board plans and drive the communication strategy for these plans across the brands and cross functional partners
  • Lead and maintain ad hoc customer engagements processes (meetings less than 10 customers)
Marketing Initiatives & Communications
  • Strategize and lead the communication plans for the field teams, including coordination of all field facing tactics, training materials, and training conference calls
  • Assist in the development of leadership communication plans to both external and internal audiences
  • Maintain and coordinate the yearly Integrated Customer Plan for the MS Brand Team, including; attending key meetings, consolidating ICP plans, coordinating with agencies and communications across the MS portfolio
Experience:
  • Prior Pharmaceutical Congress & Exhibit marketing experience (3+years)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to form strong networks both internally & externally
  • Understanding of and adherence to regulatory policies governing scientific interactions with physicians, Patient Access Groups, professional and public organizations
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity, influence without authority, and comfort working in highly dynamic environment with shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage matrix stakeholders in a complex environment
