Duration           6 Months (Possible Temp to Hire role) 
Day to Day:
On a day to day basis, this candidate will be interfacing with internal teams (New Business and Underwriting) performing initial quotes to assist in the sales process. This position requires extreme attention to detail while taking competitor’s quotes for potential clients and creating similar quotes for New Business to present to clients. Some daily activities will include: receiving 2-10 quotes a day and returning these in a timely manner, scrubbing census data, analyzing cases and identifying what will not be beneficial for the company, reviewing benefit summaries, and utilizing Excel daily.
This candidate will perform administrative tasks necessary to prepare analyst for quoting, will review RFP from the client and will enter that data into the system for pre-sale to review – initial screening to help presale create a quote - looking over size of company, background, need to be quick and accurate, review what is needed and load it accurately – works directly with Pre sale support
Required Skills:

  • Experience with data entry
  • Previous experience working with deadlines
  • Basic computer skills with Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Very detail-oriented and process driven individual
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort level with Excel – resizing, copy and paste, and formatting, outlook and power point (don’t need to know all of the functions) Really knows functions of outlook and knows how to check their email, knows how to right click ***
  • Right out of college is fine – anyone who has a business degree or within this field

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration)
  • Healthcare Insurance background


  • Prepare medical, dental and vision field quotes using Cigna rating systems
  • Manage the RFP process, report results and meet submission turnaround times.
  • Ensure accuracy of information and opportunities in
  • Timely submission of complete and accurate proposal data to Resource Support Unit (RSU), Underwriting and other matrix partners
  • Proactive communication with internal and external customers to facilitate the RFP workflow.
  • Communicate effectively with Brokers to demonstrate the value that Cigna brings to the market
  • Develop and build relationship with matrix partners
  • Support New Business Managers with benefit optimization
  • May work on various projects within the sales office

Bachelor's Degree (Business Administration),Healthcare Insurance background,Basic computer skills with Outlook, Excel, and Word
