Job Description

Position Summary

The General Manager is responsible for with executing the store operations during their scheduled shifts. The General Manager delegates tasks with team members to ensure that they are maintaining Paul BRM Customer Service Standards as well as, carry out all operating policies and standards. The General manager is responsible for all aspects of the store operations, customer service, and financial reporting.

Position Task

  • Delivers optimal customer service to all customers by connecting with the customer. They are to discover and respond to customer needs.
  • Ability to maintain financials to include cash controls/procedures, fully responsible for the store’s P&L’s.
  • Supervising all employees and ensuring that are complying with Cole Hospitality, “Paul” French Bakery and Café Brand standards.
  • Utilizes existing tools to identify and prioritize communications and regularly uses discretion to filter communications to the store team. Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective store operations.
  • Provides coaching and direction to the store team to act and to achieve operational goals. Constantly reviews store environment and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to provide coaching and direction to the store team to achieve operational goals.
  • Ensuring that food presentation, restaurant cleanliness, overall appearance including, lighting and background lighting that include the interior and exterior appeal and appearance of the store.
  • Solicits customer feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the local community.
  • Uses all operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence in the store. Tools include Automated Labor Scheduling, Monthly Status Report, Quarterly Business Review, cash management and inventory management.
  • Utilizes management information tools and analyzes financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in store performance.
  • Maintaining a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following all operations safety procedures, safety and sanitation standards and procedures, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a position that required meeting operating policies and standards that included but no limited to, quality beverages and food products, store safety, etc.
  • Experience analyzing financial reports
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
  • Prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across functional groups in a positive and collaborative manner
  • Ability to handle large work volumes requiring a high degree of accuracy and be highly organized
  • Detailed oriented and strong work ethic
  • Ability to set and handle multiple priorities, adapt to changing situations quickly, follow instructions, schedules and timelines
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
