About the Job: Retail Cashier

Responsibilities: Customer Service

• Ensure each customer receives outstanding service which follows the S.A.L.E.S process and mystery shop standards
• Greet customers as they enter the store
• Answer phone calls Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
• Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked
• Perform other tasks as assigned by store management
• Solicit customers to sign-up Cole Hardware Rewards membership
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customer
• Do whatever it takes to help customers completely. Never say no! It takes two to say No!
• Be proactive about learning everything you can about our customers, our products, and our business
• Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
• Continually build product knowledge
• Assist in pricing, stocking, marking and bagging of merchandise
• Uploads housekeeping standards
• Uphold Attendance policies
• Other responsibilities may be asign

Register Operations

• Follow all cash register transaction procedures.
• Responsible for balancing of register drawer.
• Adhere to any Store program or promotion that may require implementation at the cash registers.
• Participate in store and Cashier meetings.
• Front End Appearance and Upkeep (Upkeep housekeeping and cleanliness)
• Keep the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors neat and clean at all times. Face and dust front end.
• Assist with keeping impulse counters stocked and faced, rotate fresh merchandise in as seasons change.
• Ensure fresh ads are stocked and accessible to customers at all times.
• Ensure forms and supplies are stocked at all times.
• Assist with maintaining the front end. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Cash handling experience is a plus.
• Physical Demands: Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs), and climbing.
• Able to move and handle boxes/totes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails and perform all functions as set forth
• Must have scheduling flexibility (including able to work weekends)
  
  Wage Range:$17.00 -$20.00 per hour
