Job Description

A post secondary educational institution specializing in software development and cyber security course delivery is looking for a Sessional Instructor who can dazzle us with their knowledge of Cyber Security and their teaching ability.  We are seeking an individual to help us deliver world-class technical training content from our growing product portfolio of online classes through the University of Ottawa.

 

You will work with a team of professionals where you will be teaching Cyber Security technical courses online.  You will be coordinating both internal and external resources in order to deliver leading edge Cyber Security curriculum.  We are an innovative organization that delivers courses to students online throughout the world.   The person selected for this position will be responsible for teaching the course curriculum, overseeing student progress and coordinating resources for our students, instructors and administration.  This is a part-time/sessional position and your salary will depend on your experience, but rest assured, it will be in line with industry averages.

  • You love working and collaborating in a team as well as working independently.

  • You have experience delivering curriculum in the area of Cyber Security
  • You have subject matter expertise in cyber related courses and have at least 1 certification in the following: CCNA, CISSP or CompTIA
  • You are an amazing scheduler with a phenomenal degree of attention to detail.
  • Manage class/course deliverables including educational/retraining program coordination, research collaboration and just about any other project that a growing organization like ours requires.
  • You will interact with students, faculty, education trainers, suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Must have experience in online delivery of coursework.
  • Part of this role will require you to understand content management and ability to use a learning management system (LMS) to publish content for student learning
