To help us reach our goals we are looking to hire a Project Coordinator, Biotherapeutics to join our Operations team

The Project Coordinator, Biotherapeutics facilitates project efforts across Codexis (primarily outside of Biotherapeutics) by providing transactional support for individual projects and provide communication support among internal teams.  The incumbent ensures alignment of key stakeholders on goals, timelines, deliverables, and supports the implementation of PMO Standard Operating Procedures across the organization. Employees who are successful in this role possess strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and can be relied upon for dependable and consistent work output. The Project Coordinator is knowledgeable in the practices of basic Project Management, including software resource utilization, project scoping, task identification, scheduling, task tracking, and reporting

  • Reports to Director, Project Management
  • Contributes to the PMO Center of Excellence
  • Is or becomes Power User, and trains others to high level of competence in companys project portfolio management software tools
  • Collaborates with assigned Teams to build and progress a solid foundation for project decision making utilizing relevant business processes and best practices
  • Supports all assigned project managers/leads
  • Collects detailed knowledge of needs of assigned business groups by developing working relationships with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Interfaces and actively facilitates cross-functional communications and encourages a highly functioning, positive working environment

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

 

  • Provide project support to Biotherapeutics Research and CMC team
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with functional area peers, working proactively to ensure team unity
  • Understand the fundamental concepts of project timelines to reach key milestone dates for success
  • Participate actively in project planning process
  • Continually monitor task status and work effectively during day-to-day interactions with project core and ad hoc team members
  • Partner with Project Leader(s) to proactively address acute issues and challenges as they arise
  • Assist in writing change orders
  • Prepare and deliver specified status reports to communicate progress and risk
  • Continually monitor task status and work effectively during day-to-day interactions with project core and ad hoc team members
  • Maintain a learning attitude to expand knowledge base and develop good project management methods and behaviors
  • Communicate freely with the Director of Project Management, Project Managers/Leads and other team members
  • Identify and convey information on conflicting priorities as they relate to project implementation & adoption
  • Facilitate internal project update meetings, scribes, monitors and updates schedules and task status.  Follow up on open items.
  • Communicate variances to Project Manager
  • Support maintenance of project priorities, opportunities, and challenges by working closely with the Project Managers

 

To be successful in this role, your background and experience should include:

  • BA in Business Administration or Project Management, or equivalent number of years experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a project coordinator serving Biotherapeutics Development
  • Subject matter expert in a Project Management Software
  • Highly capable user of these Microsoft Office tools:
    • Access
    • Excel
    • Word
  • Experience working in an ERP environment
