Coda Signature is an award winning infused products company in Colorado that is experiencing rapid growth. We are currently seeking a highly qualified individual to join our Facilities team in Oakland, CA.

The Facility Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the functionality, cleanliness, and appearance of the production and distribution facility.

The Facility Technician must possess technical knowledge including machinery setup, use, and maintenance, basic construction skills in air systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting, computer use and record keeping abilities, and proper sanitation practices.

To excel, the Facility Technician will need to have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to manage ongoing projects and work tickets, prioritize projects and manage time, work independently or with teams, and interface with multiple departments and managers to provide support to all facility operations as needed.

An ideal candidate for Facility Technician should enjoy technical challenges, working with their hands, and learning opportunities, employ creative problem solving, take pride in a high standard of work and facility cleanliness, have a constant dedication to safety, be willing to perform all types of tasks as required, and have an abundance of patience.


Facility Maintenance:

  • Tracking and maintaining work tickets and service logs.
  • Assessment, troubleshooting and maintenance (if needed) of mechanical systems or production equipment; working with outside contractors as needed.
  • Preventative maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of facility and production equipment as needed by department.
  • Perform all work as to uphold equipment and contractor warranties.
  • Assist with managing outside contractors.
  • Maintaining facility tools and work spaces.
  • Sourcing of parts, tools, and materials to support the job responsibilities.
  • Any other tasks as required by Facility, Quality, or Departmental managers.


  • Regular cleaning of facility common areas including, but not limited to, Bathrooms, Loading Dock, Storage/Closet spaces, offices, break room, etc.
  • Removal of trash, recycling, and organic waste, and maintenance and cleaning of the dumpsters and trash enclosure.
  • Cleaning and upkeep of foot sanitizing baths and mats.
  • Collecting, washing, drying, folding, and storing laundry.
  • Safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures.
  • Disassembling and reassembling equipment as directed.
  • Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production lines.
  • Using and documenting chemical use to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications.
  • Verifying and documenting that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all microbiological indicator tests.
  • Assisting with department functions including safety auditing, employee training and pest control functions.
  • Any other tasks as required by Facility, Quality, or Departmental managers.


Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 21 years old.
  • Able to successfully pass a background check.
  • Must have valid drivers license with clean driving record.
  • Willing and able to work all shifts.
  • Willing and able to work overtime as required.
  • Able to assist in the event of mechanical system failures or facility maintenance emergencies (if needed).
  • Able to read and take direction in English.
  • Willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelors or advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years technical experience in facilities maintenance, machinery service, construction, or equivalent trades.
  • Able to demonstrate technical capability and knowledge.
  • Able to read facility plan drawings and equipment schematics.
  • Able to operate heavy equipment.
  • Basic computer skills in setup, use, and troubleshooting, and familiarity with MS Office suite and email applications. Networking and IT skills preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information and instruction in layman’s terms.
  • Initiative and proactive in identifying and implementing ways to improve and innovate.
