CobbFendley is seeking a Senior Project Manager in our Frisco, Texas office.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate’s most important qualifications include the following.

  • 20+ years of relevant experience in roadway design PS&E.
  • Engineer with a BSCE and Texas Professional Engineering License.
  • TxDOT roadway design project engineering and management experience.
  • Strong written/verbal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage a group, manage schedules, and monitor project budgets to achieve department performance goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide Senior Project Management services for sustained growth of the North Texas Transportation Department within CobbFendley’s multiple office locations, such as Frisco and surrounding areas. This includes providing oversight for project deliverable efforts such as managing projects, personnel, deadlines, etc. through active participation on projects.
  • Provide project management services for major roadway schematic and PS&E type projects. Work with Corporate Business Development Lead (CBDL) to provide pertinent technical responses to TxDOT, and various local County and City RFQ's. Help maintain teaming relationships and opportunities with other firms, in coordination with the CBDL and Regional Manager.
  • Market to existing and potential clients to identify and obtain Transportation contracts. This includes assisting marketing staff with marketing packages, proposal preparation, proposal review, presentations, and marketing meetings. A successful outcome would be to build a consistent and increasing backlog of work.
  • Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings. Meet with clients regularly to review project performance and sustain a feedback loop that results in continuous improvement for all our services to clients
  • Manage budgets and invoicing to achieve healthy financial project profitability. Develop a complete understanding of the CobbFendley accounting system for project management.
  • Provide extensive QA/QC reviews of all outgoing plan sets, reports and other construction documents. Learn and ensure CobbFendley’s QA/QC procedures to ensure the quality of services and deliverables.
  • Manage, lead, support, and mentor the Transportation Group staff and engineers. Identify and recruit staff as needed to perform project work.
  • Travel to CobbFendley offices, client office, and project locations will be required as needed.
  • Support and adhere to all aspects of CobbFendley’s policies, protocols, and procedures such as the safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment.
  • Perform independent research and adapt to changing priorities. Work in a collaborative team environment with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Mobility within the office including movement between floors and workstations.
  • Repeated motions (e.g., typing, reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying).
  • Communication with other employees and clients.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

  • Most work is performed in a professional office environment. Some trips to client offices and job sites for observations will be required.
  • Job site observations factors could include: walking and climbing on uneven surfaces, exposure to outdoor environments and extreme weather (heat and freezing temperatures), noise exposure, driving for extended periods of time, exposure to allergens (e.g., pollen, dust, cedar, sumac, poison ivy), exposure to construction and traffic work zones, possible hand and power tool use, and extended periods of Personal Protective Equipment use.
  • Extended use of electronic devices (e.g., computers, printers, copiers, scanners, plotters, and telephones).
  • Use of cutting tools and equipment (e.g., plotting equipment, rotary paper cutter).

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST.
