Sales Representative Account Manager

We are looking for a competitive field sales representative to develop sales strategies and attract new clients. The successful salesperson will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services. As an outside sales representative, or sales agent, they will also research sales competition.

Responsibilities

  • “Get the sale” using various customer sales methods (door-to-door, cold calling, presentations etc)
  • Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Evaluate customers skills, needs and build productive long lasting relationships
  • Meet personal and team sales targets
  • Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads
  • Attend meeting, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments
  • Report and provide feedback to management using financial statistical data
  • Plan sales calls and strategies to meet growth objectives. This would include keeping current of market trends.
  • Anticipate needs of customers and handle issues
  • Enter and monitor orders through data entry systems and grow current customers
  • Build rapport with existing customers
  • Accurately convey information about products, services and pricing
  • Provide menu analysis and profitability suggestions for customers in exchange for growth opportunities in their accounts
  • Communicate with and utilize all internal support systems, people and technology to satisfy the customer(s)

At Coastal You’ll Make Things Happen By:

  • Support the mission, vision, and values of Coastal Sunbelt Produce.
  • Generate daily sales reports and daily short reports; contact purchasing and reps with ETA’s and special order items; generate daily credit report and monthly usage reports
  • ECF kit orders on Tuesday and Thursday
  • Partner with buyers, reps and customers to order products and follow up with all parties – includes a lot of special orders
  • Order products and follow up with all involved
  • Mass pricing and specialty spreadsheets; lock special pricing; communicate market costs
  • Create invoices and statements and credits on a daily, weekly and monthly basis; and write check requests
  • Recovery orders, pick up requests, write credits, 888s and communicate same
  • Maintain standing orders and related emails
  • Respond to numerous phone calls, emails and text messages
  • Train new team members and cover for other reps who are out
  • Set up accounts, national account numbers and stacks; work with new customers to complete credit applications and obtain product lists from them to create menus; create pricing spreadsheets for customers
  • Tag items as requested and work with operations and transportation to follow through

  • Minimum of 3 years of prior Inside Sales experience, preferably (but not required) in the food / beverage industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Team oriented, customer focused, flexible and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and high-level organizational skills
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and decisively
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Experience maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Awesome Extras:

  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a strong plus!
  • Experience in similar role in a Food / Beverage industry
  • Business Casual work attire

Schedule is Monday to Saturday, with one day off of either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (TBD)

8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Monday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Tuesday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday
