Job Title: Systems Analyst I (level II possible depending upon experience)

Position Location: Raleigh, NC 27609
As a Systems Analyst I, you'll have the opportunity to use your IT aptitude and knowledge to assist in such things as documenting functions and procedures, developing requirements and requests, testing, monitoring system availability, communicating outages, implementing systems and system changes. You'll also have the opportunity to use your interpersonal skills to build rapport and act as a liaison between IT and our customers.
The contributions you can anticipate making:
Enhancing communication by:
Translating and simplifying the customer requirements and then acting as the liaison for customers in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of changes and upgrades to ensure optimal operational performance.
Providing system training, mentoring and coaching to customer personnel and then monitoring their progress to provide additional assistance or system modification as needed.
Communicating system outages.
Analyzing and documenting processes by:
Defining and documenting current system functions and processes, and then creating and maintaining workflows, approval processes, procedures and validation rules accordingly to meet the customer requirements.
Enhancing our current practices through:
Evaluating value proposition, cost, effort, impact, and priority of changes, requests, incidents and problems.
Reading and interpreting system upgrade release guides and service packs to understand the impact to the customer.
Ensuring issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved.
Participating in testing which involves reviewing release guides, analyzing impact to the Credit Union, reviewing with affected customers, and testing functionality before moving to production environment, and then validating the production environment once the release has been put into production.
Providing Consultation by:
Translating business requirements into system requirements and then serving as a liaison between the customers, technology teams, and support teams.
Meeting with management and personnel to identify, define, and document system needs and objectives, problems, input/output requirements, and levels of system access.
Interfacing with the customer as the technical advisor in developing strategies for new functionality from the core, ancillary applications, releases, and upgrades.
Offering your technology expertise by:
Becoming proficient with office applications, automation, database systems, data imports, merging records, and running reports.
Performing testing of new services and technology; e.g. testing new functionality, user acceptance testing, and testing new system updates such as service packs and general releases.
Defining systems through:
Modifying/changing system parameters such as new changes to product definitions, security groups, rate changes, and coordination of system jobs, etc.

At least three years of experience with the implementation, training, enhancement, or support of one or more financial service software applications.
Three years of experience as an analyst working with Episys and Jack Henry products such as Synapsys, Synergy, etc.
Experience with Episys, Goodnight processes, ACH processing and batch processing.
Opcon automation tool experience
Experience with relational database systems, such as Microsoft SQL,
Education: Related bachelor's degree preferred
