Job Title: Bankruptcy Specialist
Dept: Loss Mitigation
Reports to: Recovery/Loss Mitigation Manager
Position Location: 1000 St. Albans Dr. Raleigh, NC 27609
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.5:30 p.m.
Minimum Starting Pay: $15.96/hr.
As a Bankruptcy Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to use your detail orientation to ensure accurate updating of accounts. You'll also have the opportunity to use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with attorneys and/or debtors,
The contributions you can anticipate making:
Preparing and forwarding all loan documents to bankruptcy attorney, maintaining loan records, balancing general ledger and posting trustee payments on debts included in bankruptcy.
Performing timely follow up with bankruptcy vendor and trustees, for hearings and discharge.
Handling inbound/outbound calls as it relates to bankruptcy ensuring compliance to the bankruptcy code.
Preparing and filing proofs of claim on small, unsecured debts for in-house oversight, as needed.
Monitoring status of filings to determine next action and updating accounts.
Managing vendor relationships.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
