Account Manager

Industrial Color seeks an Account Manager to be a key player in Industrial Colors (IC) strategic initiative to manage, grow and expand business and partnerships with specific existing clients.

Note: this is not a sales job; it is a relationship/project management role for our agency clients.

Based in NYC this role will support a specific number of strategic clients in the beauty/cosmetics space. You will be the primary point of contact for client communications and project updates, in partnership with the production teams. In this role you will manage client relationships and needs while looking for opportunities to strengthen these specific accounts.

You will need a minimum of 5 years industry experience with a background in photography/video production and account management. You should have an outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, be a self-starter and highly motivated. You know how to navigate complex situations, have a service mindset/ knowledge about providing best in class experience for clients and are adept at relationship building.

Working directly, and in collaboration, with multiple business units at Industrial Color including Sales, Account Management and Production the Account Manager will:

  • Be the key client contact
  • Define and drive the communications with the client
  • Identify potential improvements in communication, presentation, pricing and strategic initiatives
  • Make sure clients needs are met and expectations exceeded, one deliverable at a time
  • Identify additional and new opportunities at IC to serve client needs and be able find the right solves for/with clients
  • Identify risk and provide solutions to strengthen the health of the account
  • Present solutions in partnership and production and management teams
  • Cross-sell to expand account penetration
  • Develop the systems and processes to achieve an optimal client journey
  • Create, maintain and improve all process related to client communication
  • Prepare clients presentations
  • Be part of bids and contracts renewal process
  • Responsible for accurate and timely invoicing


Bachelors degree

4-6 years experience managing client relationships (experience working with ecommerce retail clients or with video production a plus)

Exceptional relationship-building skills

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Experience project management skills, working cross-functionally throughout the organization

Experience adapting, innovating, and embracing change

Ability to prioritize and effectively escalate issues as needed while understanding the impact on the overall business

Experience with video production and/or technology implementation/development a plus

Experience working in Clickup, Asana, GlobalEdit, Slack, Excel, Google suite and MAC platform a plus
