CoAspire is finding qualified candidates to hire for high-paying classified positions supporting the US Navy and naval aviation. The position would allow an employee to live and work out of a HQ facility in either Chantilly, VA, Woodbridge, VA, Denver, CO, Colorado Springs, CO or in Ridgecrest, California. The position involves a large amount of paid travel to NAWS China Lake in Ridgecrest, CA and some to NAS Patuxent River, MD and Point Mugu in Ventura County, CA.

The positions will be available in June, 2019 and SECRET level clearances are required with current SSBIs and current TS/SCI cleared professionals are preferred. The work involves conducting Cyber Risk Assessments of naval aviation assets. We are looking for Senior-level IV Electrical Engineers, Systems Engineers, Computer Engineers and Software Engineers who are familiar with:

  • Cyber Risk Assessments
  • Cyber Table Top Assessment
  • Verification and Validation Testing
  • And aircraft, missile, and weapon systems

They need to be senior personnel and able to:

  • Support naval aviation emerging cybersecurity requirements to manage vulnerabilities within programs and systems
  • Support RMF assessment and authorization activities and advise customers on changes affecting the organization's cybersecurity posture and risk levels
  • Leverage DoD mandated tools to collect, analyze, and maintain the organization’s cybersecurity information to meet reporting requirements
  • Support the development of briefs, point papers, and white papers to inform senior leadership of emerging policy requirements and system vulnerabilities
  • Evaluate cybersecurity efforts to ensure baseline security safeguards are implemented on customer information systems
  • Prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, guidance, and SOPs concerning the security of the organization’s information system operations
  • Identify alternative information security strategies to address the organization’s security objectives


  • B.A or B.S degree minimum, MA/MS degree. Four years of directly relevant program management experience drafting, interpreting, and analyzing cybersecurity policy can be substituted for a MA/MS degree
  • Ten (10) years of engineering/cyber experience;
  • Top Secret Clearance or SECRET with Current SSBI
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DoD, DoN and Federal cybersecurity policy, cybersecurity principles, and federal risk management processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel extensively to China Lake (Ridgecrest, CA) andto NAS Patuxent River, MD and Naval Base Ventura County (Point Mugu), CA
  • US Citizen


  • Knowledge of US Navy, Marine Corps or any US federal or commercial aviation systems
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and industry security best practices (e.g. defense-in-depth)
  • Experience supporting Cyber Risk Assessment and RMF Assessment and Authorization activities
