Job Description

The Data Syndication Analyst is responsible for the daily publication of data and images through the GDSN (Global Data Synchronization Network) and/or member proprietary systems. This individual will ensure published data is compliant with GS1 global standards and customer-specific needs. In addition, this position will work with internal and external stakeholders to improve data syndication processes.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Publishes product data and images to trading partners through GDSN. Supports accurate, real-time data sharing and trade item updates among trading partners.
  2. Collects, maintains, and communicates customer-specific data attributes and technical data for trading partner websites to internal data owners to define data standards, and improve customer scorecard compliance, and performs routine updates to ensure data accuracy is maintained.
  3. Monitors GS1 Support Inbox for publication requests and GS1 Global Standards inquiries. Ensures data synchronize mater data is based on GS1 standards.
  4. Partners with Marketing, Sales, and other internal stakeholders to understand product development cycles and publication timelines for products.
  5. Partner with supply chain, innovation, and brand teams to request product data, marketing materials and ensure most current product packaging and information is available to shoppers on customer sites.
  6. Oversees ownership of company Global Location Numbers (GLNs) and GS1 Company Prefixes.
  7. Serve as subject matter expert for eCommerce as well as third-party Content Service Providers (e.g., Syndigo, 1WorldSync).
  8. Leverage tools to measure and evaluate the impact & effectiveness of digital shelf managements and ensure the digital shelf on our various retailer/accounts, marketplaces and content recipient partners are accurately representing our product assortment as well as optimized for search placement/findability and purchase conversion.
  9. Identifies and drives Catalog management process improvements with appropriate internal and external stakeholders, and trains relevant teams as need.
  10. Ability to find quick solutions to complex data transfer issues.
  11. Must be able to build relationships with key distributor partners, retailer contacts, and agencies.
  12. Responsible for item system maintenance, auditing, and syndication of Cloverdale content to partners.

Requirements and Minimum Education Level:

  1. Associates degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. 2 Years of experience in data analytics.
  3. 2 Years of experience in data transmission methods.
  4. Prior GDSN experience strongly preferred.
  5. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  6. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  7. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  8. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  9. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  10. Knowledge of data governance and syndication practices.
  11. Research & analysis skills.
  12. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  13. Preferably experience with Excel formulas and graphs.
  14. Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills is a must.
  15. Lifting: Able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis, up to 75lbs occasionally.
  16. Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Includes activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  17. Constantly talk/hear throughout the day.
  18. Ability to use fine motor skills and smell.
  19. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus and color vision.
  20. Continuous physical activity required to stand, bend, walk, lift, reach, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for up to and over 8 hours per day.
  21. Ability to work (shifts) varied hours/days including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; including overtime.
  22. Will be required to complete all company training.
  23. Ability to work effectively with a variety of diverse individuals within the company.
  24. Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment.
  25. Ability to follow simple instructions presented in written or verbal form.
  26. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
