Senior Operations Manager

Clover Leaf is looking for an EXPERIENCED join our growing team in Los Alamos as a SENIOR OPERATIONS MANAGER. The right candidate for theSenior Operations Manager needsexperienced managing and mentoring personnel in support of the project’s mission. As a manager you will seek out, share, and support opportunities for process improvements, performance improvements, and measurable reduction of the occurrence of negative events. This is a contractor position with a length of up to 5 years.

Work schedule (9/80A or 5-8s or 4-10s) Various, including backshift and weekends.

Working out at our Los Alamos site, the Senior Operations Manager is required to share observations with the project management team. Teams specific to operational and maintenance/work control concerns, recognition of positive behaviors, and the addressing of negative behaviors. The Manager will be required to provide guidance, and recommendations, and assist in continuous improvement utilizing a team of experienced personnel with diverse backgrounds.

In your role as an Operations Manager, you support the project assessments, develop, and maintain healthy working relationships, as well as supporting, and disseminating the principles of Human Performance Improvement (HPI), Conduct of Work, and Conduct of Operations. The Manager will also assist in the development of strategies for involving the workforce in the planning of work and providing timely feedback. Additionally, you will be responsible for:

• Performing field representative activities such as observations of work, oversight of work,
• Attendance at any associated meeting as assigned for critical Project work activities.
• Meeting routinely with Project Senior leadership, along with lower-tier leaders, to develop and maintain project/workforce familiarity.
• become familiar with specific company/project-specific standards and requirements and field execution documentation required for the successful completion of a specific work activity.

What Will make you a good candidate?

• 10 years of experience at a DOE or NRC facility or other similar operations such as the military.
• PhD or master's degree with extensive specialized training applicable to special needs of task.
• BA/BS in related field, plus 10 years of direct related experience or combination of education
• and experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in maintenance, operations, or radiological control.
• Minimum 7 years in a leadership/management role that includes elements of leadership and/or Mentoring.
• The ability to obtain a DoE security clearance (Q or L level).

What will make you stand out?

• Prior experience at a CAT II Nuclear facility
• Ability to work Backshift, and nights as needed.
• Proven history of Leadership, mentoring, and excellent communication skills
