The Administrative Assistant may report to a variety of different managers/directors in various departments throughout the organization. They performs administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and filing.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
The position requires daily internal communication and interaction with executives, management, physicians and CCIRH staff and may require external communication with community resources.
PRINCIPAL A CCOUNTABILITIES:
Supports the mission, vision and values of the hospital.
Responsible for working in a safe and protective manner at all times, keeping in mind that safety and environmental hazards are the responsibility of all employees for themselves, other staff members and patients.
Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff such as executive management team members. Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary.
Answers phones, takes messages or fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions.
Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
Types and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate change.
Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system for the director/ manager and the department. Retrieves information from files when needed.
Performs other duties as necessary.
Extensive software skills, Internet research abilities and strong communication skills are required.
Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Prior clerical/office experience required.
