Job Description:

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead ClearMD’s strategic technological planning, envisioning how technology will be used within the company and managing the company’s technological roadmap.  This includes overseeing all technical research and development, along with further implementing new and existing technologies externally to ensure ClearMD’s continued growth and success.

The Chief Technology Officer will also assume some duties traditionally belonging to a Chief Information Officer (CIO), including the implementation of technology internally to optimize the company’s procedures and enhance business operations.  This includes overseeing all technological needs of the company (including data management, security, network maintenance, etc.) along with developing and managing the company’s internal digital infrastructure, and overseeing all members of its technical staff.


  • Identify and implement new and current technologies to improve ClearMD’s products and services;
  • Align the company’s technology resources with ClearMD’s short and long-term goals and present routine reports on the company’s technological status, goals and progress;
  • Assist in recruiting and onboarding software developers and/or IT managers;
  • Create and oversee high-level performance indicators and metrics for the information technology (IT) and software development departments;
  • Manage technology department budget;

Education and Experience:

  • 15 years of IT experience including 3-5 years of upper management experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer (or information) science-related field (i.e., software development, management information systems, cybersecurity, etc.);
  • Graduate degree in computer science, information technology, business administration or technology management;
  • Experience designing and/or managing cloud systems (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.) preferred;
