Machine Shop Production Coordinator
As we settle into our brand-new building, we are growing our team to add capacity and meet the increased volume of customer orders.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for administratively supporting the functionality of the multiple departments through documentation and information control. This position requires daily tasks to be completed with little to no supervision.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for administratively supporting the functionality of the multiple departments through documentation and information control. This position requires daily tasks to be completed with little to no supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Data entry and electronically filing documents
- Attends meetings to obtain information such as new orders, revisions to existing orders, supplier problems, and lag times in production.
- Coordinates the ordering of materials and supplies
- Creates and releases work order packets
- Creates and updates work instructions, procedures, and forms
- Trains team members on various procedures and maintains calibration database
- Generates weekly and monthly reports
- Creates and distributes work orders and assist with job router coordination
- Creates the dispatch list and adjusts the schedule
- Scans work orders after WIP to FG process and releases to the floor
- Monitors the quality department for parts needed and coordinates with Quality Supervisor
- Tracks and monitors time off requests and monitors product flow to ensure production schedule is maintained
- Assists with inventory control by running the supply/demand model in Global Shop
- Updates meeting presentations
- Back up for shop employee payroll hours verification
- General administrative tasks using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma/GED with six months administrative experience; Associate's degree in related discipline preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Manufacturing experience preferred. Experience working with an ERP system is a plus.
