My client a local Chicago area manufacturing related firm is looking to hire a customer service order processor. You will work as inside sales support for this busy custom order company. The customer service role will serve as the point of contact for inquires such as pricing, product ordering and scheduling of the orders and the billing process. You report directly to the general manager of the firm.
You will receive and process the customers orders in a timely manner that provides accurate information for the orders and data entry of the orders into the system. This detail process will deliver the products with relevance to the timeline that reflects satisfaction for both parties.
No two clients or orders are alike. This is a custom process for each client that includes many different types of inventory and part numbers to be included in the order processing for the entry and processing of the order. Manufacturing or distribution industry order processing is highly preferred and attention to detail that each order requires. For this important role it will require working closely with all customers and the sales staff making sure that all orders received will be processed accordingly to guarantee meeting timelines of the order placed. The end result is that the orders are processed in a matter that meets or exceeds the requested delivery time requested for the order.
In this position you will be the inside contact for any customer questions and reschedules that may need to be adjusted to ensure the best solution for the orders being processed. A lot of email contact with the clients for questions and revisions. You will be the individual who makes sure the order is correctly entered and processed as necessary to ensure the products are custom ordered correctly with all the correct details with parts and numbers for production to make the custom product according to the customers need.
Two plus years of manufacturing or distribution customer service order processing experience with good computer skills and strong attention to detail while working in a fast paced office. Excellent customer service aptitude necessary to interact and meet clients demands for their orders and to grow customer loyalty. This role will require previous experience with billing and processing of the invoice correctly. Any credit or collection experience would also be a plus for setting up of the customer accounts in the their system and having the experience of full account management for the clients. You actually follow the process from purchase order to shipping of the product out of their production plant.
