Position Profile:

The Customer Care Specialist offers excellent customer service by responding to customer telephone, email and fax inquiries; placing product orders; following up on inquiries and orders, ensures timely shipment of orders, provides or recommends solutions to a wide variety of problems; provides information about the product lines to customers; promotes all selling initiatives and works with general supervision and direction to ensure satisfied customer service.

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver Excellent Customer Service on every call, incorporating all necessary call requirements.
  • Maintain the departments minimum requirements for calls handled and orders placed.
  • Maintain a high order accuracy rate with minimal to no errors, consistently meeting the department minimum order accuracy.
  • On call rotation for the following queues: Customer Service, and Sales.
  • answering customer requests, checking product availability and prices.
  • Maintain all customer files.
  • Ability to respond to customer emails within an hour of receipt.
  • Work with other departments to manage and ship product in the most efficient manner.
  • Display dedication to position responsibilities and achieve assigned goals and objectives.
  • Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner and appearance always.
  • Understand and internalize the Company’s purpose; Display loyalty to the Company and its organizational values..
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years’ experience in customer service role.
  • 2+ years administrative experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and team player.
  • Follows established procedures and processes with little deviation.
  • Listen to and objectively consider ideas and suggestions from others

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to view a computer screen for long periods.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to kneels and bends.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Working conditions include normal office setting.

Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications, with heavy emphasis on Excel.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of organization and detail-orientation.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative.
  • Good attitude toward teamwork as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Excellent time management.
