Job Summary
Clara's Little Lambs Preschool Academy, located in Algiers, is committed to providing a safe, healthy learning environment designed to stimulate a child's physical, cognitive, creative and emotional development. We are looking for qualified candidates who have a passion for children and child care. We are looking for teachers that create a fun, loving, and exciting learning environment for children! The center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Teachers have the advantage of fostering children's social and emotional development, which aids their growing self- confidence. We expect teachers to facilitate children's curiosity and exploration of the world around them through play.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing quality care to children at all times
- Maintain a clean classroom at all times
- Working with a co- teacher and other staff members
- Using positive child guidance methods
- Creating lesson plans weekly for the group and individual children
- Follow all company and state licensing policies and procedures
- Being punctual for your scheduled shift daily
- Use the Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold
- Being mentally and physically prepared to care for children daily
Qualifications and Skills
- 1 years of experience with children birth to three
- Associates or Bachelors Degree Early Childhood Education (ECE), or Child Development Associate (CDA) in Infants and Toddlers
- Pass Federal Background Check
- Familiar with and use Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold daily
- Familiar with and use BrightWheel & Learning Genie daily
- Required to obtain CPR/ First Aid certification with in 30 days of hire
While credentialed applicants are a plus, experience, passion for children and self- motivated individuals are welcome to apply. Credentials must be obtained with in 6 months of hire.
