Job Description

The role of the Electronics Repair Technician is to provide testing, debugging, repair and field support of all product hardware and applications for the Company’s production operations that are critical to the operations of our internal and external customers.  
 
The ideal candidate will be an Electronics Technician with experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of small electronic devices and ability to follow QA and test procedures. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments. 

  • Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after production. 

  • Requires basic techniques of surface mount/through-hole soldering, cable assembly, mechanical prototyping, and ability to work with schematics, cable drawings, and test equipment. 

  • Requires familiarity with bench tools for soldering, measuring, and data logging to diagnose and repair boards from field and in support of engineering development. Board level trouble shooting experience is a must. 

  • Follow test procedures and maintain test and QA stations. 

  • Maintain spare part inventory and update inventory control systems. 

  • Collaborate with electrical engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems. 

  • Conduct inspections for quality control and assurance programs, reporting findings and recommendations. 

  • Review existing electrical engineering criteria to identify necessary revisions, deletions or amendments to outdated material. 

  • Ability to multi-task, and help diagnose issues in the lab and remote field sites (including field travel when necessary) 

  • Requires knowledge of supply chain processes, ability to plan and organize resources for a project, communicate with customers and peers as needed
