Provide triage services to neighbors interested in our Workforce and Financial Empowerment Program services by completing intake, screening and connecting them to Workforce and Financial Empowerment (WFE) programs and resources. Coach will also provide one-on-one resource coaching in collaboration with WFE coaches for neighbors who are enrolled in our Workforce and Financial Empowerment program. Coach will use a co-active coaching relationship to help neighbors access income support services to implement a crucial aspect of the Working Families Success Model. Coach will serve neighbors who may have experienced mental health, substance abuse issues, or the effects of homelessness and re-entry. Coach will use social work skills to address these needs, connect neighbors to services to reduce the barriers keeping them from advancing towards self-identified goals.
Coach will also be responsible for creating and implementing a system for intake and screening WFE neighbors for public benefits and connecting them to those services. Coach will oversee distributing some forms of direct assistance to neighbors, such as bus passes, gas cards, rent assistance, and refer neighbors to other CitySquare programs. Coach will also be responsible for maintaining engagement with community partners to ensure that all information about resources is update and that referrals are made with warmth and efficiency.
Education: Bachelors degree required. Bachelors in Social Work, or a related field preferred.
Experience: One to five years of experience directly with clients who may be experiencing substance abuse, re-entry and/or homelessness. Familiarity with principles of co-active coaching preferred.
Licensure/Certification: LBSW preferred, but not required
Location: Dallas, TX (Temporarily Remote)
Additional Requirements: Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be able to work occasional flexible hours as requested, including some evenings. Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
