City on a Hill is one of Massachusetts' first charter schools with the upcoming 2022-2023 school year being our 28th year of operation. As we prepare for another school year, City on a Hill is seeking dedicated educators and operations staff to support the empowerment of our students.About the Executive Coordinator (EC)As a member of the City on a Hill Charter Public School Operations Team, the Executive Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Executive Director (ED), Chief of Staff (CoS), and as directed, to the broader City on a Hill organization. This role will routinely interact with City on a Hill students, families, champions, faculty and staff at all levels.

The Executive Coordinator reports directly to the Chief of Staff.Role DescriptionSenior Leadership & Board SupportProvide administrative support to the Executive Director and Chief of Staff, while maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times;Assist in general project management centered in the Office of the Executive Director;Proactively and responsively manage project plans and calendars;Field and/or delegate miscellaneous requests from internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate;Under the direction of the Chief of Staff, communicate directly with Board of Trustees members, donors, and others on matters related to the Executive Director's programmatic initiatives;Support the Executive Director in the creation and compilation of materials in preparation for key internal and external meetings;Coordinate, plan and schedule monthly meetings utilizing project management plans and tools provided by our governance partner, Board on Track; andWork with Board Committees to create content, ensure timely turnaround of notes, follow-up tasks, and regular reports to the full Board.Administrative Support & Special ProjectsSupport and execute special projects as directed by the Director of School Operations;Partner with the Development Team to highlight the work of City on a Hill students, and message organizational success both internally and externally;Create general City on a Hill correspondence and communications for key stakeholders;Assist in leading forward looking organizational planning in the areas of operations, academics, finance and facilities; andExecute other ad hoc special projects as assigned by the Executive Director or Chief of Staff.QualificationsBelief that every student, regardless of background, can and must achieve academically at high levels2-4 years of experience supporting administrative/operational teams, preferably in an educational and/or nonprofit organizationAbility to perform complex tasks, meticulously organize, and prioritize multiple projectsExperience and proficiency in Google Suite (e.g. Google Calendar, Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc).A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusionDemonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, preferably with Senior LeadersAbility to solve problems in a variety of areas and feel comfortable in promptly interchanging between tasks across different functions and/or departmentsAccustomed to giving and receiving feedback and is a solution-oriented continuous learnerDiscretion and ability to maintain strict confidentialityCity on a Hill is committed to racial equity and to make a particular effort to recruit people of color, indigenous people, and gender-non-conforming people to apply for open positions.
