A Assistant Field Operations Supervisor - Nights job is available for the City of Fort Worth Water Department Field Operations division. Assistant Field Operations – Nights job duties include: Supervise staff, including assigning work, conducting evaluations, training, ensuring staff performs safely and in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws and ordinances. Create, assign and follow up on work orders. Ensure compliance of business section’s goals. Assist in inspecting maintenance, construction, repair and operational activities. Coordinate field operation activities with those of other divisions and outside agencies and organizations. Provide staff assistance to supervisory and management staff. Prepare and present staff reports and other necessary correspondence and respond to and resolve public inquiries and complaints. Participate in supervising scheduled preventative maintenance programs for equipment and facilities in assigned division. Maintain record of time, material and equipment used for projects. Assist in establishing schedules and methods for providing construction, maintenance, and repair services. Identify resource needs and review needs with management and allocate resources accordingly. Minimum qualifications include: High School Diploma or GED. At least three years of increasingly responsible experience in water field construction, maintenance, repair or operational activities. Possession of a valid driver’s license. A TCEQ Class C Water Distribution System license. Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and participate in a rotating on call beeper. Ability to pass a drug test and physical. Preferred qualifications include: At least three years of previous supervisory experience. Knowledge and experience using GIS software or other mapping software. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and contracts. Previous experience working with a large utility.
