Job Description

City-State, LLC is currently recruiting for a Systems Analyst-Linux Admin-#340165 for MSA in Richland, WA to support the Hanford Site.

Title: Systems Analyst

OBJECTIVE

Seeking a qualified System Analyst responsible for supporting the Information Technology (IT) enterprise system requirements of the MSA Information Management (IM) Network and Data Center Services (N&DCS) organization.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK – SPECIFIC

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Unix/Linux/HP-UX System Administrator with experience in Unix Production support.

  • Working knowledge of VMware ESX, San Storage, Clones and Oracle Databases, Linux servers in virtualized environments.

  • Ability to provide support or flex schedule during non-standard business hours for patching or other maintenance activities.

  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities.

  • Provide Tier-2 troubleshooting support, working with the user support team and the operations staff to effectively manage and communicate issues and perform problem analysis to resolution on a 24/7 schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum BA/BS degree in Information Technology related field or technical/trade school degree/certification in Information Technology related field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum four years’ experience as a Unix/Linux/HP-UX System Administrator in an enterprise environment with experience in Unix Production support.

  • Minimum two years’ experience interfacing with VMware ESX, San Storage, Clones and Oracle Databases and Linux servers in virtualized environments.

  • Minimum two years’ experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating systems on both physical and virtual servers.

  • Minimum two years’ experience with Red Hat Satellite Server

  • Minimum one-year’ experience with Ansible.

  • Minimum paone-year’ experience with virtualized cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.

  • Minimum two years’ experience with IT customer support.

  • Ability to provide support during non-standard business hours and be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as needed or as scheduled.

  • Ability to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing.

  • Attention to detail and exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize and execute tasks.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting servers on the Hanford Local Area Network

  • Knowledge of MSA and Hanford Site policies, procedures, and processes.

Work Location / Potential Access Requirements: The primary work location is 2261 Stevens, Richland Washington (subject to change). Work including meetings may also be conducted on the Hanford site at various locations.

Site Access and Work Hours

Hanford personnel at the Hanford Site work a standard 4/10 schedule. The standard work week consist of ten (10) hours of work between 6:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with one-half hour designated as an unpaid period for lunch, Monday through Thursday.

 

Work performed outside normal operating hours shall be coordinated and/or approved through the BTR and/or the Contract Specialist prior to performing the work.
