The Consumer Loan Team Lead will be the point of contact and have the responsibility to coach a team of ~8 Loan Specialists that are responsible to review clerical operational tasks from within the Loan Servicing and Originations areas, as well as to participate in the overall team's production. It is expected that the candidate can demonstrate a strong foundation of the loan servicing fundamentals and measurements.
The purpose and responsibility of this position is to:
+ Ensure appropriate staffing coverage is met for all critical tasks;
+ Manage daily activities for the team, set priorities and monitor throughout the day to meet determined SLAs;
+ Provide coaching, training and support to individuals, and to the team on all tasks;
+ Create skill-practice opportunities for the development of the team and individuals;
+ Enhance the purpose, and step-by-step instructions within procedures to make them user-friendly, informativeand efficient;
+ Align procedures with production
+ Recognize, clarify, and prioritize the risks, benefits, and predict any potential impact to processes and teams when making decisions for the team or changes to processes;
+ Analyze patterns and identify key areas for improvement of processes;
+ Use measurements to drive improvement;
+ Test controls within processes;
+ Use fact-finding techniques to identify and document specific problems and resolution alternatives;
+ Special projects and/or duties may also be assigned.
Having the ability to analyze patterns and identify key areas for improvement of multiple multifaceted processes is a "must."Periodic reviews of both individual and team's work efforts will be conducted by the Team Lead.
The candidate will also be responsible to observe current practices, identify issues/concerns and to recommend and/or implement monitoring metrics that will ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements, ultimately resulting in a more effective and efficient team.
+ High School or Equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred
+ 3-5 years experience in operations l within a financial institution
+ Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume, deadline controlled environment
+ Strong organizational experience
+ Outstanding customer-service skills
+ Product knowledge (home equity, unsecured, student, and auto lending)
Hours and Schedule:
Schedule Monday-Friday 8-5
