Technical Creative Lead
Circuit Media is in need of a Technical Creative Lead in support of The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Communications (AOC). The FAA AOC is responsible for the policy, direction, and management of the agency’s communications with the public and FAA’s employees nationwide.
Located: FAA Headquarters building in Washington D.C.
Education: Bachelors Degree in arts management, business/communications technology, or related field is preferred. Extensive experience (7-10 years) may suffice in place of a degree.
Experience: At least 8 years of related experience
Other Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications: Personnel and all designated alternates shall be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Knowledge and experience working within Federal government regulations and guidelines regarding:
writing, editing and project management support;
experience meeting federal accessibility requirements (508 Compliance);
experience conducting and utilizing market/audience research to inform
development of outreach materials and strategies;
experience creating strategies to enable a client to use these tools for rulemaking management and execution into the future, across a range of platforms;
experience meeting federal style guidance with digital media production equipment, computers, and software in support of the execution of the FAA and their goals;
Responsibilities Include:
Provide support for new product development, Web content creation, and graphic
designs for a broad range of products;
Provide graphic design/animation/illustration for products;
Provide Web content development support for AOC and other FAA organizations.
The Web site content must be compliant with existing 508 regulations (and future
ADA accessibility regulations) and required templates;
Provide 508 compliance testing and reviewing, including applying Adobe Acrobat
portable document format (PDF) file formats and tags;
Provide Social Media platform content development support for AOC. The Social
Media site content must be compliant with existing 508 regulations (and future ADA
accessibility regulations) and required templates;
Provide assistance to AOC and FAA organizations to ensure Web and Social Media
content is compliant with the FAA’s Branding requirements; and
Maintain currency in the latest Web and Social Media content development, social
and other media trends, and electronic technologies appropriate to support employee
communications and external messaging to FAA stakeholders.
Provide digital video production capabilities, employing broadcast-quality
production standards in coordination with existing FAA resources, in support of the
communications mission of AOC;
Provide video production and editing expertise to create video and audio productions
and programming for inclusion in presentations, live events, FAA websites and social
media platforms, and for dissemination via existing and future digital delivery platforms;
Provide support for live events taking place in the FAA auditorium and virtually, and
for recorded events in the FAA studio and in other venues.
Implement effective technology solutions to accomplish the initiatives of AOC. This
must include enabling techniques for quick application of new technology and
procedures;
Identify imaging needs for AOC. Assist in the coordination, creation and the act of
obtaining needed photographs, graphics, illustrations or video products, and
research data associated with each image or video product;
Provide metadata to ensure indexability and ease of search within the Web-based
image and video Library. Log images and video products into the database when
received or created.
Provide advice, analysis, and reporting to support AOC with coordination,
development, editing and execution of reports for both internal and external
audiences;
Provide recommendations for the effective presentation of data and information,
including the best means of presentation, most effective platforms and media vehicles
to convey critical information to specific audiences, including data-visualization.
In addition, coordinate the use of data and input from FAA Lines of Business and
Staff Offices and other pertinent sources to ensure messaging achieves the desired goals;
Support meetings, conferences, and forums to promote FAA goals. Support these
efforts with appropriate Contractor personnel who possess the skills to create
content, including content development specialists in the form of graphic artists,
layout and visual design experts, and usability experts.
