The Part Time (25-30 hours) Vet Clinic Learning Specialist is a key contributor to the Veterinary Clinic sign-up and activation of an online platform that ships the right product based on a nutritional plan for the pet direct to the pet parent's home. This position will train and support the vet clinics on the platform, as well as drive subscription sign-ups through engaging and working with the staff on the great benefits of the platform. This position will remain the key contact for the clinic through their continued utilization.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, and other duties as assigned:
 
  • Be the primary field support through in person meetings and via phone for Veterinary Clinics in assigned territory to assist in education, activation, and continued engagement with direct to home platform
  • Be able to understand the vet portal functionalities to assist the vet clinics with items such as setting the price, vet compensation reports, pet parent reports, etc
  • Conduct Lunch & Learn for VCHT training on Pet Parent Profile creation and nutritional plans
  • Maintains an effective level of business literacy
  • Review the progress the platform within each assigned clinic, and address any issues seen
  • Create incentive programs, if applicable for territory, to ensure success of platform
  • Participate in the pet parent sign ups of the platform
  • Visit vet clinics in assigned territories on an ongoing basis
  • Communication on a regular basis with a cross-functional team to include manufacturer field team, customer development team, customer service team, and warehouse teams
 
Qualifications Required:
 
  • Associates degree with 1+ years of customer facing experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or experience working in a Veterinary Clinic or 2+ years of vet field sales experience
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule depending on the needs of the clinic, which may include some weekends and evenings
  • Comfortable working on technology platforms (basic tableau skills) with working knowledge of Online Shopping interfaces
  • Excel skills including sorting, filtering, and basic function usage
  • Foundational knowledge in CDO vet field activities
  • Oral communication-the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts meetings
  • Written Communication-the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information. Excellent proofreading skills
  • Planning/organizing-the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans
  • Quality control-the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
  • Adaptability-the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Dependability-the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
  • Safety and security-the individual actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly
  • Ability to travel 100% in the field with up to 25% overnight travel
